Entry Insights

Generate and revisit AI-assisted reflections for one journal entry

Entry Insights

Insights are optional AI-generated reflections attached to an individual entry. They are not a cross-journal analytics dashboard or a medical assessment.

Table of Contents

Open Insights

  1. Save or open an entry.
  2. Select the Insights tab beside Entry.
  3. If no analysis exists, select Generate insights.

The active tab is stored in the page URL, so an Insights page remains selected after reload or when its link is opened directly.

What an Analysis Can Contain

Depending on the entry and provider response, the page can show:

  • a short summary and haiku;
  • a dream interpretation when a dream is discussed;
  • intentions and recommendations;
  • sentiment observations;
  • extracted tags and mentions.

Empty sections are omitted. The generated response may be incomplete or wrong and should be treated as a reflection prompt, not professional advice.

Progress and Retry

Analysis runs as a background job. The interface reports its real queued, working, failed, or complete state. Existing insights remain visible while a refresh is available, and a failed job can be retried without pretending it is still running.

Image generation is a separate job. It can finish, fail, or retry independently from text analysis.

Data Use

Generating insights sends the entry text and required context to the configured AI provider. The app stores the resulting insight fields with the entry. See the Privacy Policy for current providers and data-processing details.

Do not treat recommendations, sentiment, or dream interpretation as medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice.
