What should I use to open Be Here Meow?

Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari on a phone, tablet, or desktop. The product is a responsive web app; there is no separate native mobile or desktop app.

Keep browser storage available. The journal uses local browser data to preserve drafts and support offline work.

Troubleshooting

My entry has not reached the server. What should I do?

  1. Keep the tab open long enough to reconnect.
  2. Check the journal save indicator and any sync message.
  3. Open Account → Sync issues if the app reports an operation that stopped retrying.
  4. Retry the failed operation or discard it only when you no longer want that change.

Do not clear site data before recovering an unsynced local draft.

Search is not finding an entry. What should I check?

  • Clear selected tags, mentions, and date filters.
  • Clear the search field and try a shorter phrase.
  • Confirm the entry is visible in the current account.
  • Allow an offline change to sync after reconnecting.

Search is case-insensitive and runs over the locally available entry catalog.

Why did the journal show a conflict?

A conflict should appear only when a local draft and server entry differ meaningfully. Choose Use server version to discard the local edit or Keep local draft to preserve and synchronize it. Identical normalized content is adopted automatically.

I am not receiving an account email. What should I check?

  1. Confirm the account email address.
  2. Check spam and filtered folders.
  3. Wait before requesting another message because recovery and verification endpoints are rate-limited.
  4. Contact support if the message still does not arrive.

Transactional account email comes from the beheremeow.app domain. The app does not currently expose general notification settings.

Reporting Issues

How do I report a bug?

Use the contact page or email [email protected]. Include the page address, what you selected, the expected result, the observed result, browser and operating system, and a screenshot when possible. Never include a password, session cookie, API key, or private journal text you do not want support to read.
